There is a South African phrase that says “Uzoyithola
kanjani uhlel’ ekoneni?” The direct translation is “How will you get it if
you’re just sitting in the corner?” In other words, how can your life change
for the better if you are just sitting down and fantasising about your future?
It’s even worse when you go around and tell others what you
plan to do one day. Sometimes, by telling others about what you intend to do in
the future not only puts your ideas at risk of being stolen, but also creates
unnecessary pressure from those people you have bragged to, for you to start
producing results. Of course, there will be times that you may have to present
your plans to the relevant people who will help you to fund or develop your
projects, but that is another case.
It is better to think the idea to yourself, present it to
God and JUST DO IT! I will stop there and allow the cartoon to speak.
