Man's Way

Jesus said: “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.  And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:25-26)

He also says:  “I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.” (Revelation 1:18)

We have been given a choice between eternal life or eternal death.  If a person rejects Jesus,  then he automatically chooses eternal death. Jesus affirms that He is the resurrection and life, and He also has the keys of hell and death. Therefore there is no in between. It’s one way or the other. In addition He also affirms, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)

One man once asked how can a loving God turn out to be so cruel if this is the case. But the answer is that God is still Love. It is man who has a proud and wicked heart, because God has given us a time of grace to come back to Him through the Lord Jesus Christ while we are still breathing in this world.   “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
