The Narrow Door

The hardest part of being Christians, true followers of Christ, is to deny ourselves daily, i.e. sacrifice. There is a dangerous “gospel” being spread around in the name of grace called “once-saved-forever-saved”.

The problem I have with this belief is that it contradicts the Word of God, giving people a totally wrong impression that if you believe and accept Jesus today you will be saved forever and THAT’S IT! And most of the time it is followed by only the good promises, love, grace and mercy of God in heaven, but never talks about self-denial, repentance, sin, conviction including the wrath of God we read about in Revelation and so forth.

Believers have been carried away with this preaching to the point of denying that there is a place that still exists called hell. Instead of denying themselves, they deny that a loving and merciful God could send them to hell. They are convinced that they will pass through the narrow door that leads to heaven with their fleshly luggage, forgetting that there is a wider door that leads to hell as well.

Once again, before I get carried away I will stop here and allow the cartoon to speak.

May God bless you!
