The Narrow Door

The hardest part of being Christians, true followers of Christ, is to deny ourselves daily, i.e. sacrifice. There is a dangerous “gospel” being spread around in the name of grace called “once-saved-forever-saved”.

The Day and Hour

I don’t know how many times I’ve heard about the Lord Jesus coming back on a certain date. Some even claim that He is already here amongst us but is in disguise.

Just do it!

There is a South African phrase that says “Uzoyithola kanjani uhlel’ ekoneni?” The direct translation is “How will you get it if you’re just sitting in the corner?” In other words, how can your life change for the better if you are just sitting down and fantasising about your future?

Humbleness before God

No matter how long we have been coming to church, praying, fasting, walking with God and so on we should never think that we are now perfect and better than those who are not yet converted.

Me, Myself and I

We, human beings, are created in the image of God and His likeness. I know that many do not accept this teaching, but it is evident in the scriptures that God is three distinct Persons in one, thus forming the Holy Trinity: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

Okay with God but not Jesus

It’s funny how many self-professing Christians are comfortable with the mentioning of God or Father, but start to feel uneasy when you mention Jesus.
